Hot Busy Day

New Matthew Era record for heat today. It got to 94 degrees. Good thing we have A/C!

Gramma Evans (Mommy's Mom) and Great Gramma Perri came over today to say hi. I love seeing them because I get held and held and held. I slept the whole time. Okay, so there was a lot of spitting up on my clothes today too.

Mommy had to change my clothes 3 times today! New record! Tomorrow I go for 4!

When Daddy gets home, the whole place goes crazy. Well, maybe it's just Monique
That's her. Isn't she pretty?

The Padres won again today! Daddy refuses to let me become a Dodger fan. Speaking of baseball, we watched "The Natural" today. Redford was not very convincing as a ball player...so why is the movie still so good?

Oops, pooped my diaper. Should I cry for Daddy or just wait until he smells it? Oh, never mind, he just got a nice whiff. Time for a diaper change, so I must end this now.

Until tomorrow.
Love,
Matthew

Sshhh, Mommy's Sleeping

Today marked the first day Mommy & I spent together by ourselves, and let me just say that I was so excited by it, I hardly slept.

I wanted to play, and be held by Mommy all day. I love Mommy! Jackson wanted to play too, but I am still a little too small for him.

When Daddy finally got home from work (what's that?) , I thought, about time! Now I can get some sleep and someone else can entertain Mommy. I was soooo tired.

After a small nap, I am ready to go again. But Mommy is finally ready for sleep, so I am up with Daddy watching some crazy guy named Jim Cramer on TV. His BOO-YAH's startle me.

Oh, good, the Padres just won!

Goodnight all!

Happy Memorial Day

My first Holiday! Daddy stayed home today to help out around the house, but I had a surprise for him. I am staying awake most of the day today, being very, VERY CRANKY! So he is getting nothing done!

It's okay though, because I am just too damn cute to get mad at.

Maybe some day I will understand the importance of this day. Lot's of Daddy's family has served or is currently serving in the armed services. Mommy's family has served too, but in Chile. So they understand the importance of remembering those who have lost their lives, as well as honoring all those who have served.

3 Weeks Old Today!

Woo hoo! I am 21 today. Formula for all! Okay, so maybe it is only 21 days old, but I am feeling good.

I celebrated by fussing and screaming through the night. What fun!

My Daddy and I watched the Indy 500 this morning. I can't believe that guy won at the last moment. Pretty cool. Daddy says we can go see these races someday.I liked the sound of the cars. It made my screaming sound like a kitty cat purring. Kinda like these guys:
That is Jackson on the left and Calvin on the right.

Today we are all trying to relax. Talk to you all later.

Thanks Gramma K !

After having my Gramma K spend all week with me, I am now spoiled. But she left this morning, so now Daddy says I can just cry without being held. Well, we shall see about that!

I did get to see Poppa K again, so that was cool. He brought some pictures of me that I will post soon.

Yesterday was rather uneventful, except for a small puking incident onto Gramma! Mommy & Daddy had BBQ from the Bear Pit, and they say it is just average. Whatever that means.

Well, I am going to pretend to sleep for a bit in my super cool cradle swing that my super cool Uncle Jason got me.

Thank you Gramma for spending the week with us. Mommy & Daddy super appreciate all your help. Hopefully they learned some tricks.

Welcome To My Life

Hello World!

My name is Matthew Livio Kobus. I am 19 days old today. It took my Daddy some time to set this up, seeing how he is very busy with feeding me, changing me, trying to get me to sleep, and oh yes, work too. (But no matter how busy he is, Mommy is MUCH busier!)

I was born on May 7, 2006 in Burbank, CA. Mommy & Daddy were a little scared, but I knew what I was doing. My first few days were tiring. So many new people came to see me, but mainly I slept through their visits. I can't wait to see them all again. I would name everyone who came, but it is such a blur, I don't want to forget anyone, so I will say THANK YOU TO EVERYONE.

Since coming home from the hospital I have kept to my routine of eating, sleeping, and needing a diaper change. (Except at night, when I just want to scream HELLO to the world.) Also I have been fortunate enough to see both my Grandmas and even my Great-Grandma from Chile! I have also made my first road trip. We went to Castaic Lake where I saw my Poppa Kobus and my two cousins (Justin & Grace). It was fun...I pooped on Daddy!

I am a little confused by all the languages in the house right now. There is english, spanish, dog, cat, and my native tongues, baby giggles and grunts.

Our house has one dog (Monique) and 4 cats (Jackson, Luna, Calvin, and Hobbes). Monique and Jackson spend lots of time near me. Luna doesn't seem to care too much, while Calvin & Hobbes are afraid of me. :(

Daddy says it is time to go right now, so check back everyday, as I will try to keep a daily update of My Life. You can send me questions or comments to matthewkobus@gmail.com

Oh yeah, my umbilical cord fell off yesterday! Is that gross or cool?
