Happy 3rd Birthday Matthew!

This picture is when Matthew was 2 months old.

It is simply incredible how long ago this seems, yet at the same time we remember it like it was yesterday (and as all you parents out there know, remembering anything at all, let alone something from 3 years ago constitues a near miracle!)

Everything we do, we do for him. And we are happy to do it. No matter how rough a day we are having, a quick "Hi Momma, Hi Dada" melts away all the other stuff that gets in the way of what is important.

Does he drive us crazy? Sure, but that's what love is, right? Love is not rational. You don't love the noisy neighbors who party all day and all night, preventing your sleep. But our boy, well, no matter how little sleep we get, nor how cranky he makes us.....we love him anyway.

This child, every day growing up more and more, is simply the most important thing in the world to us.

So today we wish happy birthday to Matthew, our son, our baby boy, our Little Man.

So, today I learned that every door in our complex looks the same. I couldn't find my house!
